Geology Professors Lesli Wood and Gabriel Walton are bringing a lively mix of original and 70/80s cover tunes back to the Concert Series. Connecting at Mines, Lesli and Gabe have paired up to share their infectious and fun sound in local venues around Colorado. They promise to play, “Down in the Mine”, a fan favorite at this concert.

Born in the hills of Arkansas, Lesli Wood has been performing, writing and singing music nearly all of her life. She has played music festivals in Utah, Colorado, Texas, South America and recorded two albums. When she is not “channeling” Elvis Presley, she spends time hitting rocks of the real kind as a Doctor of Geology.

Gabe Walton grew up in Ottawa, Canada playing piano, sax, and upright bass and involved in musical theatre. After a decade-long hiatus from bass playing while pursuing his engineering education, Gabe is excited to get back to his musical passion. Gabe is an avid jazz fan, but is really enjoying exploring his folksy side with Lesli and her tunes.

Bring your friends, enjoy live music and help support Mines Performing Artists! Brown bag lunches welcome.

Hot and cold beverages served.
